Financial Education What I am fighting. Our society is under attack!! We have pharmaceutical companies that are behind our food companies. We pay taxes, yet more money gets printed and the money left over is reduced even more. We pay our credit cards, yet when we drown in that debt, the same companies that “help” us are also behind the credit card companies. The credit card companies ( banks) write off your debt and sells it to someone else who goes after you. We promote students going to high cost universities, yet you cannot erase your student loan with bankruptcy. They win either way. You buy a house, pay it off, yet because of increased value, the property tax keeps increasing, so many are forced to sell the house. We pay into medicare and social security, yet many of us will never reach the age to collect. We fight for wars against our wishes and the money goes overseas, and yet somehow gets funneled into the pockets of politicians. People are sick and unhealthy and if no more money can be made on them, they are simply told to go home and live out your last few days, weeks or months. We are forced to fund unsuccessful public schools, yet the bureaucracy of education keeps growing. Too big to fail! You mean too big to succeed. Sabotage. We pay taxes and we cannot have Medicare until 65 We pay taxes and cannot have Social Security until age 67 We pay off our mortgages, yet property taxes go up and some are forced to sell their homes. We pay all of our lives and some are forced to sell off their personal treasures to pay huge medical bills. And now we have people brought up thinking it is acceptable to set up a GoFundMe for their graduation or birthdays. I understand about medical bills and simple living expenses. We keep paying and the whole keeps getting bigger. Some do not want wars to stop because the donations and government earmarked spending will stop or be redirected. We are continually on the treadmill, yet the weight keeps increasing and our burden is not decreasing. ENOUGH!!
